Trip Profile: Exploring Laos with your bike...cycling is the way to do it! Although the most challanging mountain rides on the tour are on tar roads, the tour will going mainly on dirt roads where tourists rarely have been seen. Cycling along ricefields, scenic lime stone mountains and meet the amazing friendly people of Laos. There’s also a chance to meet small ethnic jungle tribes and spot wild elephants. The standard of the accommodation on this tour is even in the remote ereas as the Sayabouly province surprisingly high

Road Surface  Mostly rural,small, coastline ,rolling hill, undulating .follows asphalt roads, dirt road passing the countryside and the rice field. The back road along the river and village is small but good enough for cycling, less busy. A little bit sandy. Biking guide Experienced English speaking-biking guides with enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Biking guides are first aid qualified and can maintain bikes. Their role is to deliver a safe and enjoyable tour to the clients, they manage the group, co-ordinate the driver and support vehicle, buy snacks and fruit along the way, look out for clients needs. They are cultural guides as well as pure biking…

Day 1: VIENTIANE - WELCOME TO LAOS
Upon on arrival time ,Vietnam Adventure Cycling Tour guide will be at the airport for pick you up and transfer to hotel  for checking in. free and leisure . in the afternoon we will spend a bit time for bike fitting before welcome dinner. Our guide will briefing the general information for our journey .overnight in Vientiane. Activities :

Day 2: VIENTIANE - CITY TOUR
This morning we stretch our legs with a ride around this laid back city and the surrounding area like Vat Sisaket, a monastery that dates to 1818, visit a Buddhist-themed museum of art and sculpture, see the city’s famous ‘Anousavali’ (Victory Gate) and discover a Buddhist statue park. With its French colonial influences Vientiane is barely recognisable as an Asian capital, it has a relaxed \'small town\' charm.. Activities :

Day 3: VIENTIANE - THA XIANGLE
Through the suburbs, you are leaving Vientiane in Northern direction. After a few kilometers on the Road Nr. 10, you cycle on dirt roads through many villages and discover the real countryside. Follow along the bank of the Nam Ngum River keep paddle to our beautiful resort located deeped into the lush grean jungle, here you can see the beauty Of Natural. Activities :

Day 4: THA XIANGLE - VANG VIENG
our day will start from the hotel with a beautiful scenery from here we cycle through pastoral agricultural land passing paddy fields and more intensively farmed areas.and we heading to Nam Ngum Lake ,the bigest lake in Lao for lunch! after that we will jump on the bus and transfer to our hotel for overnight in Vang vieng. Activities :

Day 5: VANG VIENG - freeday
Vang Vieng has recently become a popular destination for backpackers and is a comfortable place with nice restaurants and guesthouses.There are options to swim, tube or visit nearby caves.We can relax with a beer Lao to finish off the day and enjoy the sunset over the river behind the stunning limestone pinnacles. Activities :

Day 6: VANG VIENG - PHOUN KHOUN
We begin the day cycling a route with hills on either side. After about 28km we begin to get a taste of what\'s to come with an 8k climb. This is followed by a long gentle descent to Kasi for lunch after lunch the road will be harder so we cycle to the finish point then transfer to Phoun khoun for overnight . Activities :

Day 7: PHOUN KHOUN - LUANG PRABANG
We cycle to Luang Prabang, which is a word heritage site and one of the highlights of the trip. The day will start with the transsfer to the cycling point .a long descent for 22 k followed by a 15k hard climb. On the way we pass through Hmong villages each of which has its own distinctive character and style of house..Activities:

  • 78 km cycling
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, Dinner.

Day 8: LUANG PRABANG - FREEDAY
Rest day in beautiful Luang Prabang, encircled by mountains and situated on the banks of the Mekong where it meets the Nam Khan River. The day is free to explore this delightful World Heritage town with 32 historic temples, ancient monasteries, the magnificent Royal Palace Museum and French Colonial architecture. This is a place to chill out, enjoy the food, the peaceful surroundings and the people. Activities:

  • Meals: breakfast,

Day 9: LUANG PRABANG - XAYABOURY
after the short transfer from the hotel to Kacham watter fall , take a short time to visit the watterfall before we hit the road, you pass several hill tribe villages and have to climb several minor passes before crossing the Mekong River by ferry at Tha Deua. After Tha Deua, it\'s another 30 km to the capital of the province, Sayabouly town. The town is located in a wide valley with some great views over the surrounding mountains. Overnight in a comfortable guest house. Activities :

Day 10: XAYA BOURY - NAM POUY
An easy ride to the little town Nam Pouy, which is located on the border of the Nam Phoun Protected Natural Area. This protected area has the biggest population of wild elephants in Laos. Also, some small tribal groups hiding in those jungles. They are called the yellow banana leaf people because they are building their houses from banana leaves. As soon as the leaf\'s are getting yellow, this people move to another place. Overnight in a basic guest house. Activities:

Day 11: NAM POUY - PAK LAY
A long day cycling with a lot of short climbs and ascents from valley to valley, with great view of the dense forests of the National Protected Area, Nam Phoun and the chance to see wild Elephants. Half way, you can visit a local Hmong market.Pak Lay is a small laid back town with some nice French colonial buildings, located along the banks of the Mekong River. Overnight in a comfortable guest house. Activities:

  • 100 km cycling
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, Dinner.
  • Accommodation:Samhearnong Hotel or similar.


Day 12: PAK LAY - VIENTIANE
A relaxing boat ride on the Mekong River with scenic views of Thailand and Laos brings you back to Vientiane. This part of the Mekong River is the natural border between the two countries. Overnight in a hotel in VientianeActivities:

Day 13: FREE DAY
free and leisure by your own until the time we have to transfer to the airport for your flight back home . End of the Journey. Activities
