TRIP PROFILE:
This Laos and Cambodia Cycling Tours with Vietnam Adventure Cycling tour combines the cultural interests of the two countries, starting from the south of Laos (Pakse) to Cambodia World Heritage Site of Angkor Complex. From Pakse we cycle follow the Mekong River to Cambodia.We will cycle through the rural of Laos with nice scenery of the 4 Thousand Islands. before crossing the border to Cambodia by bike and the visa is issued at the border.In Cambodia side, we continue to cycle along the Mekong River to see the endangered Irrawady Dolphines and experience the cycling at the highland Mondulkiri to visit the minority hill tribe people before heading to Angkor following the Mekong River.
For this trip you can start at luangprabang, northern of Laos if you have plenty time.

Day 1: PAKSE WELCOME TO LAOS
Vietnam Adventure Cycling Tour guide will pick you up at the airport an transfer back to hotel for checking in and free at leisure and relax. Welcome dinner will waiting for us after bike fitting in the afternoon and our guide will briefing some information for our cycling adventure. Pakse is the only city in Southern Part of Laos which has the airport and connection with the tourist attraction in Southern part of Laos. Dinner and Overnight in Laos.
Day 2: PAKSE – WAT PHOU - CHAMPASAK
After breakfast, we will start our adventure cycling from the hotel and cycle along the Mekong river to see the living life of Laos ,passing the busy section at local market .Time for you to learn more and understand more about Laos people. Have a water stop the first 20km to enjoy the fresh fruit, snack and drink. Then leaving the Mekong river on the backdrop. There, appear the Wat Phou temple on the foot of the Champasak hill. It is a 12th century temple built by a great Khmer King Jayavarman VII. Visit the temple 45 minutes to 1 hour. Afternoon, transfer to Don Daeng. Dinner and overnight in Champasak.

Day 3: CHAMPASAK– DONDEAN- SEPIAN
After the breakfast,our day will start with the ferry crossing to Dondean island and from there We fill in the water and be ready to get on the bike to cycle to Se Pian Biodiversity Conservation Center located near Cambodia border to Rattanakiri province. Visit the community of the ethnic minority. Enjoy the lunch in the community. Afternoon, we will take another ferry to get back to mainland and continue cycle to beautiful hotel . Dinner and overnight in in SePian.

Day 4: SE PIAN- 4 THOUSAND ISLANDS
Breakfast In the hotel , after that the day will start with the short transfer before we get on the bike and today we cycle to visit 4 Thousand Islands,situated on the Mekong River, known as Si Phan Don in Laos. we cycle follow the dirt road along the river crossing the local small ferry from this island to another and another get deeper and deeper to village to experience and know how is 4 thousand island. Enjoy lunch at the 4 Thousand Island. We would love to recommend you all to keep the empty bottle of water or can in the rubbish bin to keep the environment clean. After lunch, we cycle to Don Khong. Dinner and overnight in Don Khong.

Day 5: DON KHONG- STUNG TRENG
After breakfast, we will take a boat trip at beginning along the Mekong river ,the man fishing ,child go to school, housewife going to market or the daily activity of the local people along the Mekong river will make your day special and this is the "kokdak Moment" as well ,Time for you to have a lot of beautiful photo. the boat trip will stop at fish market,where there are many middle man waiting for the fish from the local people. the bike will be ready and we will start to cycle from there to the wonderful water fall,it call Khone Phapheng Falls at the border with Cambodia. Immigration process after we spend half hours to visit the water Fall. Say Goodbye to our Laos Team. You can get Cambodian visa at the border at USD20 per person. Please take 1 passport size photo for the visa. Have Lunch and Cycle the last 57km to Stung Treng. Dinner and overnight in Stung Treng.

Day 6:STUNG TRENG- IRRAWADY DOLPHIN- KRATIE
Breakfast in Stung Treng. Cycle along the Mekong River on dirt road for 30km. to junction with national road and we cannot avoid this part so we will jump in the support van and transfer for 2 hours. we will cycle the last 45km on the back road along the Mekong River. The road is sealed but small with less traffic than the National road. It is also interesting to see the villages and scenery along the Mekong. We stop at Prek Kampi to take a boat trip for endangered fresh water Irraway Dolphin. If you miss the chance to see the Dolphin at 4 Thousand Islands, you will be able to see at Prek Kampi for sure. After the boat trip, continue cycle to the hotel Dinner and overnight in Kratie.

Day 7: KRATIE – SEN MONOROM (Northern Hill Tribes Territory)
After breakfast, we transfer about 2 hours before we cycle. Along the road, we can see some of the rubber plantation initiated by the French. Then the cycling will start with some uphills. The scenery after lunch is the best in Cambodia for cycling. We can view the pine forest and endless hill with green grass. We arrive in Sen Monorom and check in the hotel. Late afternoon, we cycle around the town and go up hills about 300 meter altitude high to view the sunset on top of the hill at the Sea-Forest to see how amazing the nature is. Dinner and overnight in Sen monorom.

Day 8: SEN MONOROM- BOU SRA WATERFALL
Breakfast in Sen Monorom.we will start cycling out off Sen Monorom. Soon, we get to the dirt road passing the coffee and peper plantation. We stop to have a quick visit at the plantation. Then continue on some of the sealed and dirt road through the jungle. Stop and relax to enjoy the truly nature. Then go to Bou Sra waterfall. Enjoy the picnic lunch nearby the water fall. Enjoy swimming at the water fall and take some photos with Phnong minority clothes. Afternoon, return back to Sen Monorom by bus for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: SEN MONOROM- ELEPHENT VALLEY OR PHNONG MINORITY
Breakfast in Sen Monorom. Then we cycle 10km to Elephant Valley. This is a rescue center to protect the elephants from trafficking. You have a chance of full day volunteer to work in this Elephant Valley to take care of the elephants. The staff at the project will guide you how to do the job. Lunch at the valley. Another option, if you do not want to volunteer at the Elephant valley, we cycle to visit Damrey Choun villages near by Sen Monorom and trek 5km to visit the forest and water fall. Dinner and overnight in Sen Monorom. There are some season the Elephant project dont allow us to visit we will visit the Phnong village.

Day 10: SEN MONOROM –CHLONG-KAMPONG CHAM
We start cycling after a short transfer from the hotel to Chlong along Mekong River. This back road is nice for cycling to see close to real life experience of the local people who earn their living along the Mekong River by farming and fishing. We cycle pass a few Muslim community. Then we cross the Mekong River by ferry at Stung Trong. Continue to cycle another 33km on some dirt road and sealed road to Kampong Cham. Dinner and overnight in Kampong Cham.

Day 11: KAMPONG CHAM- KAMPHONG THOM
Breakfast at the hotel. Kampong Cham is one of the biggest province produce fruits and rubber. The land and Mekong River provides rich of resource for farming. We cycle 50km before lunch. After lunch we cycle pass some of the rubber plantation which was initiated by French in 19th century. First they brought the rubber plant from South America but could not survive in Cambodia weather and land. Later on they brought the rubber plant from Malaysia and could survive. After lunch, we cycle the last 28km to Kampong Thmor and transfer for 45 minutes on National Road No.6 to avoid busy traffic to Kampong Thom. Dinner and overnight in Kampong Thom.

Day 12: KAMPONG THOM-SAMBOR PREI KUK-SIEMREAP
Breakfast at the hotel. We cycle to visit Sambor Prei Kuk pre-Angkorian temple complex. Most of the temples in this complex built by brick between (615-650). Sambor Prei Kuk was served as the capital before Angkor period during the Chenla Kingdom. After visiting, we cycle to Prek Pros Bridge for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we transfer 2 hours to Siem Reap. Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 13: SIEMREAP-ANGKOR COMPLEX
Depart from the hotel on the main road and cycling throughAngkor pass check point. Cycling through the shady road with a little pumping because of thea few pot-holes. There you will begin to see Kravan temple, Banteay Kdei, and stop at the famous Ta Phrom, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Visit Ta Phrom (45 minutes-1 hour). It was built in 12th century by the famous King Jayavarvan VII indicated to his mother. While clearing back the forest archaeologists decided to leave the vegetation of Ta Phrom in place to serve as a reminder of how the original discoverers found it and the other Angkor temples.Many of the trees have grown around and through the remains and soar high above the temples.Continue the cycling through small circuit passing Ta Keo temple, Chao Say Tevoda, Tommanon before reaching to Angkor Thom city. There you will see, Terrace of Leper King, Terrace of Elephant, Baphoun, Phimean Akas. Stop at Bayon temple and start the visit (45 minutes-1 hour). Angkor Thom built by Cambodia's great king, Jayavarman VII. Then visit the magnificent 12th century Angkor Wat. It is visually, architecturally and artistically breathtaking. Angkor Wat is a massive three-tiered pyramid crowned by five beehive-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level. Suryavarman II constructed Angkor Wat in the form of massive 'temple mountain' dedicated to the Hindu god, Vishnu.Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 14: SIEMREP- Banteay Srei Temple
Start the cycling trip to Banteay Srei In the early morning. Bike on beautiful rural road as you can see real countryside of Cambodia including; rice field, typical villages and pagoda. Arrive in Banteay Srei before lunch. Visit Banteay Srei temple known as women citadel (built in 967 A.D dedicated to Brahma). With the pink sandstone walls and the best carving of all, Banteay Srei has attracted many tourists when coming to Siem Reap. Continue biking to visit Kbal Spean, the River of Thousands Lingas. On the way back to Siem Reap city, make a stop to visit Landmine Museum of Mr Akira. Mr Ra is dedicated his life to clear the landmines in countryside of the country. Overnight in Siem Reap.
