This the Cycling Trip with Vietnam Cycling Tour from Hanoi ,the capital of vietnam to Luangprabang ,the world heritage town in northen of Laos. The roads is a bit hilly but we will able to see the stunning and breathtaking mountains of Sapa, the red delta in Hanoi, the historical in Dien Bien Phu.This Biking tour has spectacular changing scenery from the mountain to the minorities village with the friendly locals unused to the presence of tourists. we will cross the quiet and less visited border at Tay Trang. Road Surface | Quiet countryside and rural roads but pave and small enough for cycling. The level of difficulty is moderate to difficult. The cycling routes are hill at the begining, then relatively flat. From Vientiane to Luang Prabang is more hills with more than 1000m high altitude. |

DAY 1: HANOI-OVERNIGHT ON THE TRAIN TO LAO CAI
Vietnam Adventure Cycling Guide will pick you up at the meeting point for the walking tour around old quater of Hanoi in the afternoon and do the briefing about The cycling trip from Hanoi to Luang Prabang after diner .The evening we will take the train from Hanoi to Lao Cai.Lao Cai is on the gate to China,Lao Cai lies at the end of the train line on the Chinese border. The border crossing slammed shut during the 1979 war between China and Vietnam and remained closed until 1993. Lao Cai is now a major hub for travellers journey between Haoi, Sapa .

DAY 2: LAO CAI- SAPA
The train will arrive in Lao Cai in morning, the border town to Yunnan province.The Van aslo be at the train station for picking us up and transfer to the restaurant for the breakfast .The cycling trip will start with cycling around the boder town to see the daily activity in the boder between Vietnam and China after that we cycling 40 km on scenic uphill road to Sapa .The Queen of Mountains, Sapa sits regally overlooking a beautiful valley, lofty mountains towering over the town on all sides. Sapa is the French hill station was built in 1922. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: TAPHIN LOOP FULLDAY RIDE
Cycling off road track to the village of Ta Phin, when the ride will be more challengingin a loop across a steep and forested hillsides and minority villages.Having lunch in the village before cycling Back to Sapa.

DAY 4:SAPA- TAM DUONG- THAN UYEN
After Breakfast at the hotel,the cycling will start with a shorty up hill (15 km) as warm up to the heaven gate (or Tram Ton Pass). before the desert ride down hill for 24km to Binh Luu.Keep cycling through the small hill to see beautiful valley and tribal villages, particular scenery on the way before reaching Than Uyen .Over Night in Than Uyen.

DAY 5:THAN UYEN- TUAN GIAO
The cycling day start with the down hill for a short distance before cycling uphill and tarmac downhill to Tuan Giao and get a reward of truly spectacular views of the the minorities village along the limestone mountain. Overnight in Tuan Giao

DAY 6: TUAN GIAO- DIEN BIEN PHU
Take a easy cycling but challenging on the last day cycling in vietnam from Tuan Giao to Dien Bien Phu, but you will be rewarded with the stunningly beautiful scenery and untouched remote villages along the valley on the way. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu

DAY 7: DIEN BIEN PHU- MUANG KHOA,LAOS
Early morning explore the historical sites of Dien Bien Phu. It used to be the big battle field between the French and Vietnamese when Vietnam fought again the French to get independence. Then we cycle 65 km to Muang Khau after crossing Laos North-East border at Tay Tran. You have to get Laos visa in advance in order to cross Laos land border. Laos visa on arrival can be obtained at the boder. This northeast area has the least population of Laos. In the afternoon, we continue cycling to Muang Khua along Nam Ou river. .the stunning wiew and friendly people in Laos will make you forget how hard of the cycling today.Overnight in Muang Khau.

DAY 8:MUANG KHOA - OUDOMXAI
After breakfast, we cycle 80km follow the nam ou river on the main road to Oudomxai We cycle through the jungle and the rice paddy and the scenic lightly to bustling Oudomxai.. During the second Indochina War, the provincial capital became the center for Chinese troops supporting Pathet Laos. Today, it is the junction of National Road 1, 2 and 4 has made its position a booming alos - China trade center. we will cycle through the khmu rice paddy and

Day 9: UDOMXAI – LUANGNAMTHA
After breakfast we head north on direction to China, today we ride through the villages of Thai Lu, Kmue, and Hmong ethnic groups. The variety of these groups throughout the hills of the north of the country is a highlight of this trip. Lunch is prepared by our guide and helpers. We will eat when we feel hungry and will have lunch by the road under a tree. We stay overnight in a small town of Luangnamtha.

Day 10: LUANGNAMTHA – GIBBON TREE HOUSE
From hotel we ride west on direction to Thailand, this road link northern Thailand to Chin through northern Laos, there are some big climbs, we also ride through hill tribe villages with a lot of children running out from their houses, greeting us “SABAIDEE” in Lao language (“HELLO!) optional drive some section to our destination of gibbon tree house.

Day 11: GIBBON TREE HOUSE (FREEDAY)
Today is more relax to stay at the jungles with activities and zip lines

Day 12: GIBBON TREE HOUSE-HUAYXAI-PAKBENG
After breakfast we drive to Huayxai, this town locates by the Mekong River and shares the border to Thailand; the most tourists cross from northern Thailand to Laos and take the boat on Mekong River to LuangPrabang. We board on boat down to Pakbeng, after 6 – 7 hours we reach Pakbeng where we overnight.

Day 13: PEKBENG – UDOMXAI
After having our breakfast we start riding from the hotel at 8:00 or 8:30 AM on the way we see mostly minority villages belonging to the Khmu tribe (up Lander), Hmong tribe (high Lander) and Lao (low Lander). the people of the mountains in the southern China that long ago migrated south and defined the civilizations of Thailand and Laos, they are divided into black Thai, red Thai and white Thai regarding to the color of their traditional dresses. After 52 km of riding we arrive to Muanghoun where we have lunch. After lunch we continue another 32 km to the village of Muangbeng, we drive the rest to Udomxai where we overnight.

Day 14: UDOMXAI - PAKMONG
Today is the hard day but the best rides, we ride back the way we came into town, continuing along Route 13 north towards Luangprabang.after 5 km from guesthouse the road starts to wind upwards and we start the first of a series of long climbs through high mountains but scenery is perfect. We are in the land of the Hmong (high Lander) who are known as originally live in high elevation in northern Laos, in former time they lived by growing opium. After long climb, we rest on the first peak for water, snacks and seasonal fruits. Then we continue the next 30 km to the second and the third peak for lunch stop, after lunch it is down, down and down as we descend 30 km into the valley, this is a last downhill. At the end of the descent, we arrive at the junction of Pakmong where we stay overnight.

Day 15: PAKMONG – LUANGPRABANG
The longest day will start with the cycling from the hotel on the main road passing Ban Thabu and we cycle along Nam Ou River .It is an interesting to cycle along the river through villages to enjoy the rural lives. Enjoy lunch on the river bank and take a power nap before heading to Luang Prabang, the World Heritage town. END OF THE TRIP!
